Hip-Hop and the Hare Raisers teamed up with the Sixers Dancers today at Lukoil where 76 people received free gas to kick off a week-long series of events to get the city and fans fired up for the 2009 NBA Playoffs.

From 12 -1pm, the Lukoil fuel pumps were open to the first 76 cars in line which began as early as 9:00am this morning. One fan even claimed to have been waiting since 11:30pm last night!

Fans walked away with more than just free gas. Many also received Sixers fleece sweatshirts Sixers t-shirts, team photos, Hip-Hop dolls, and Sixers Dancers calendars to go along with their full tank of gas.

Fans were also given the opportunity to take photos with Hip-Hop and the Hare Raisers while their cars got fueled up. Several fans began celebrating the occasion as they got their Dancer calendars autographed and posed for photos with the Sixers Dancers.

By the time the 76th car received the last free fill-up, the Sixers had successfully began to "pump up” the Philadelphia fans for the Sixers 2009 Playoffs!
